General Information
DNS is a domain name system that translates a website's typical text address into a machine-friendly numeric IP address. Generally, you use the DNS server provided by your Internet service provider. If necessary, you can manually change the addresses of the provider's DNS servers to those of Google's public DNS servers.
Windows:
Clear the DNS cache
- Press the Win + R key combination.
- In the "Run" window, type cmd and click OK. The command line interface will open. Some commands require administrator rights to the operating system.
- Enter the following commands in the command line (press Enter after each subsequent command):
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /registerdns
- netsh winsock reset
- Once the commands are executed successfully, reboot your PC.
Alternative method
- Download the archive.
- Unpack it into any folder on your PC and run it as administrator. (Right-click the file and select Run as administrator.)
- Reboot your PC.
If clearing the DNS cache doesn't resolve the issue, please contact your Internet Service Provider with a request to refresh the cache at their servers.

- If the Obtain DNS server address automatically setting is selected, switch it to the Use the following DNS server address setting below.
- Enter the numbers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the fields below and click OK to confirm and complete changing settings to Google DNS.
